U.S. Immigration Requirements
The prospective adoptive parents need to have a home study conducted,
CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services) approval, as well as prepare
a dossier which will be presented to the Guatemalan Consulate. The prospective
adoptive parents must also have a valid American passport to travel to
Guatemala to pick up the child. International Adoptions, Ltd. will complete
the CIS forms and dossier for
the adoptive parents.
